BSMS Half-Way

Hello friends,

Thank you so much for your financial and prayerful support during my time at Bridge Street Mission School (BSMS). Our last payment was November 17 and thankfully all my funds came in on time. I am now fully-funded throughout the rest of the year.

We are currently four months and halfway through the school-year. We completed the first phase (called the Formation Phase which lasts from mid-September to mid-December) on December 18. During the Formation Phase we had weekly teachings on the character of God, worship, relationships, spiritual warfare, social justice, and many other topics. We are now on Christmas break until Saturday, January 2nd when we all get back to school.

On January 3 we then split off and leave for our two respective countries for our Global Phase (January and February). Myself and six of the other students are going to Guatemala. While there we will be working in a local Guatemalan-run Christian school in La Limonada. Half of us will be teaching music and the other half art. I am on the music team.

I am so excited for this amazing opportunity to be in a new environment, speaking a new language, and most importantly telling others about Jesus Christ. God has been working in amazing ways thus far through BSMS and I can’t wait to see how he will work and reveal His awesome power and presence during our Global Phase.

One of the other students is going to be in charge of a weekly newsletter and prayer update email. If you would like that email shoot me a text or Facebook message with your email and I will give her your info so you can receive those updates.

Thank you again for all your continued support.

In Christ,

RJ Avery

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
